  • Interpreters – Explain and demonstrate agricultural and social practices starting with the 1800s. Interpreters volunteer during summer events and school field trips for 3rd-6th graders. Training provided.

  • Ag professionals – Share your agriculture career story with 7th & 8th graders during our Ag Career Exploration program. Help students explore career possibilities in agriculture, discover their interests, and connect with agriculture through hands-on experiments. Training provided. A partnership event with Junior Achievement, made possible with funding support from Otto Bremer Trust.
  • Gardeners – Volunteer in our two beautiful gardens
  • Blacksmithing – Farmamerica has a complete blacksmith shop
  • Historians – Help develop new historic material to share
  • Musicians – Live outdoor music enhances any summer event 
  • Event Assistants – Help plan, promote, and assist with day-of-event logistics
  • Construction and maintenance – Assist our site manager with projects around the farm
  • Antique Equipment – Repair, maintain, and learn about vintage antique farm equipment 
  • Antique Tractor Driver – Drive an antique tractor pulling our tour trams full of visitors
  • IT – Be our IT guru to answer those technical questions that we cannot solve on our own
