Farmamerica offers in-person Agriculture Evolution Field Trips for 3rd – 6th grade school groups (homeschool groups are always welcome.) We are committed to providing fun, engaging, and educational field trips in a safe and hands-on environment. With the help of interpreters, exhibits, and unique hands-on experiences, your students will learn the rich history of Minnesota agriculture starting in the 1800s and conclude with the discovery of their personal connections to today’s agriculture. Ag Evolution Field Trips run from 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break. We ask that students bring their own sack lunch.

Field Trips are reserved on a first come, first served basis. We will accept up to 120 students per day.

This year, we are offering a group rate of $5.00 per student.

Spring 2024 Field Trips are FULL.

Meeting Minnesota State Standards

Farmamerica’s Ag Evolution Field Trips are designed to help teachers meet the Minnesota State Standards for grades 3-6. To help in this effort, we have compiled the list of standards we are striving to help you meet, and explaining how the field trips contribute to these standards. We also offer “I Can” statements that students will achieve by completing the day here at Farmamerica.

Ag Career Exploration (ACE) Days are designed for students in 7th and 8th grade. We explore all 6 sectors of the Minnesota Career Wheel and show how every sector connects back to agriculture through a hands on experience. Professionals in Ag-based careers teach the sectors and talk about their jobs to students.

ACE days are reserved on a first come, first served basis. We will accept up to 150 students per day.

Call 507-835-2052 or email kari@farmamerica.org to book an ACE day.

Students are required to bring their own sack lunch for the 30 minute lunch break.
