A 4-Day Job Shadowing Adventure
AGE: Students entering 9th – 11th grade.
COST: FREE! This is a new program being offered for free with support from the Otto Bremer Trust. You will receive $100 upon completion of the 4-day program and recording a video blog.
ADMISSION: 14 students only. Limited space is available. Register before June 8.
DETAILS:
Each day begins at 9:00 am at Farmamerica, 7367 360th Ave, Waseca, MN.
Then you and the program director will be shuttled to different job sites around southern Minnesota to meet industry experts, watch, learn, and try your hand at different careers within agriculture.
During the program, you’ll learn more about your personal interests and how that can align with a well-paying future career right in southern Minnesota. This program is a safe space for you to dream big, think outside the box, and have fun with friends. Together, we’ll discover different paths that can help you achieve your goals and lead you to future careers that will make you happy.
We will get behind-the-scenes experiences at local businesses like Crystal Valley, UMN Southern Research & Outreach Center, Ag Utilization Research Institute, Environmental Tillage Systems, implement dealers, and more.
On the last day, representatives from area colleges and universities will help you understand different educational paths after high school.
