Job Description for Seasonal Grounds Crew Intern
What to expect:
Paid internship | 16-20 hours per week
April/May 2026 – September 2026, with potential to turn into a permanent position
Located in-person at Farmamerica (outside Waseca, MN)
Work with outdoor tools, livestock, and people
Collaborate with Farmamerica leadership team
Work week: Tuesdays – Fridays, some evenings and weekends
Range: $15/ hour
Who we’re looking for:
Current students or adults looking for additional, part-time summer income
Ambitious collaborators who enjoy working outdoors and with people and animals.
What you’ll do:
1. Care for livestock
Feed and care for Farmamerica’s farm animals twice per day, monitoring health and eating habits.
Lift 50 lb. feed bags
Clean livestock pens, once or twice per week
2. Assist with outdoor projects
Maintain buildings with Site Manager support
Remove brush and weeds in gardens
3. Assist with indoor projects
Set up chairs and tables for venue rentals and conferences
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Career interest in agriculture, horticulture, or animal production
Proven ability to follow instructions
Proven ability to relate to & collaborate with people of all ages & from a range of backgrounds & experiences
Ambassador for Farmamerica and the evolution of agriculture
Growth mindset
Proven use of effective interpersonal, communication & relationship skills
Team-first, “Pitch-in” attitude
Critical thinking and problem-solving approach
