Volunteer

Give back to the ag community. Volunteer at Farmamerica.

Got a few hours to share and a love for agriculture, education, or community? We have volunteer opportunities that fit every schedule and interest, from helping with exciting events to guiding curious school groups.

Opportunities

  • Special Events: (Typically on weekends or in the evening.)

    • Work at the Registration Desk, in the Concessions, be a Tram Driver, or check people in for the Blood Drive

  • Field Trips: (Weekdays 9:30 AM - 2:00 PM)

    • Teach students about the Prairie, 1850s Homestead, Schoolhouse, 1930s House, 1930s Barnyard, and Modern Agriculture, or be a Tram Driver.

  • Grounds - Cleaning, Painting, Landscaping, Animal Chores

Community Garden

Grow your own fruits, veggies, or flowers in our Community Garden! For just $20 per plot, you can plant in the spring and care for your garden all season long-right up to harvest. 

Each plot is approximately 10’ x 10’ and is available on a first-come, first served basis. We also offer a limited number of handicap-accessible beds (approximately 5’x5’.)

Gardeners will have access to basic tools and water throughout the season. 

Our Community Garden Plots are full for the 2026 season.
