The Prairie Interpretive Center was built in 2012. The ponds and wetlands associated with the prairie have been restored to the time in Minnesota history prior to settlement of the region by European farm families in the 1850s. We believe that this project is a helpful tool in better understanding the ecological benefits and processes of the prairie. The project supports wildlife and aquatic habitats, and it increases the numbers of native grasses and wildflowers at the site. The interpretive center provides further information about the project.
